Drew Barrymore's look last night at the Grey Gardens premiere is both a Hit and a Miss for me. I love her makeup--very Hitchcock-esque. Her smooth, glowy skin makes the cat-eyed eyeliner really pop. Even her hair is going to for the cool, Ice Queen blonde Hitchcock's heroines were famous for, a la Tippi Hedren in The Birds, but falls short as far as I'm concerned. It seems a little too contrived, as if she's trying too hard. Her hairstylist went completely overboard on the hairspray--that hair wouldn't move in a windstorm.
